We had fun!

Marley wants everyone to know how much fun she had at Tanner Park yesterday. We went with our TipTail friend and got to make some new friends from Resqtails too. Marley chased and played with muffit and was a super happy girl. We were happy to have Paul and Leon join us too!! I didn't get many good pics. It's hard to get good pics of dogs that are moving. But here are a few:

Chasin Lizards is lots of fun!

We took the dogs out to the desert today to give them a chance to get out and run. This is Dylan's favorite place because he gets to run free! I try to call him minimally here because it's flat and I can see him and he loves so much to go out and explore. He does quite well and checks in on his own so I don't call him unless I have too!

Dylan wears an orange vest and his Muttlucks Booties. He blends in so well with the landscape that this orange vest helps make him much more visible. He tends to wear out his front pads on this dry terrain so the muttlucks help prevent that issue. They seem to stay on well but they get turned around so I have to stop him from time to time for an adjustment. My vet says he wouldn't have so many issues with his pads if his nails weren't so dang long. I really need to get working on the dremel but I've found it is very difficult for me to work on this alone. I think it would be easier if there were someone to sit there and feed him!!


There were lots and lots of lizards today and the dogs had the time of their life. Dylan especially loves to chase the lizards. The funny thing is, the lizards will run through the sagebrush and keep on going but the dogs seem to think they are hiding in the bushes. By the time the dogs realize they aren't there; the lizards are long gone!!

Paul and Leon just seem to belong together. Leon rarely leaves his side unless he sees a bunny or a squirrel!
Three tired dogs came home and took naps. I really need to get Dylan one of this round dog beds. He loves this one that is over at Paul's house!

Dog sitting a curly coat!

Dog sitting one curly coat turns into a lot of work. This is Leon; my boyfriends spoiled dog. I love this big boy so I don't mind the work!! We went walking at tanner park last night. For those of you not in SLC, Tanner is an 88 acre nature reserve that is legally off leash! There's a creek that runs through there and the dogs love to swim and play in the water! It's a great spot for most dogs to walk! Dylan doesn't get so lucky as to go there though because there are way too many dogs.

Last night I went with two friends and 6 dogs! It was a lot of fun. Marley played chase games with her friend Chase and her new friend Trip! Leon stuck right by my side most the way!!

I took these pics on my new PDA Phone!!! Not bad image quality for a camera phone!! This is my friend Ross! We always have a great time together!!

Two walks a day will be good for me! I just can't handle all three dogs off leash! It's way too much to manage!! So I have to split them up into two walks! Oh well, I need the exercise anyway! I just wish there was more time in the day for me to be walking!!

A trip to the Rail Trail

We started out yesterday morning all gung ho and ready to go swimming at the reservoir. I had been telling Marley for 2 days that she FINALLY gets to go swimming. Unfortunately, we realized that we didn't have the gas to make it to East Canyon and had to turn around and go fill up. The road to the reservoir is windy and there were lots of bikes so Paul didn't want to head back up there after all that. We opted for the rail trail. It was fairly close and a good choice. Paul and Leon had never been there before.

This place is GREAT! You can walk for miles. We were unprepared to walk dogs in a place where there wasn't water for the dogs. We weren't going to go too far but at some point Marley went into the bushes and came out wet. There was water sporadically along the trail. Probably wasn't the healthiest water but at least it kept the dogs cool enough to walk for a while.

We didn't see any other dogs which was perfect for Dylan! There were lots of bikes but Leon was a good boy and listened to his Daddy when the bikes were coming by.

Good big boy Leon! He never moves to far away from his Daddy. He's not at all like my dogs who are constantly running up and down and around when they are out off leash.

Funny Miss Marley running in the grass! This picture cracks me up!! Dylan making splashes in a small pond. The one downfall of this place is that the trail is lined by barbed wire. All the dogs made it through without getting any cuts or scrapes but one time Dylan came home all cut up after walking here. I try to keep him on our side of the barbed wire but couldn't help but let them play in this little pond (see the barbed wire in the middle).

This is Marley's signature move. I think it's her way of saying "I'm wet and therefore must roll in dirt"

This is the man I love :) He's so good to come out in the heat of the day when he really hates it. He'd rather be out there in 5 ft of snow :)

All in all it was a great walk! I'm so glad that the dogs found some water here and there. I didn't want to cut it short. Sunday's are my only day that I really have time to go out and take the dogs somewhere fun and exciting!
